Home Ownership Education and Counseling: Providing advice and support to first-time home buyers in areas such as credit issues, budgeting, home loan financing, and home maintenance. Providing support with real estate related problems and referrals to financial institutions for loans.

Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance: Low-interest loans for downpayment and closing costs to first time homebuyers. Applicants must have annual incomes below 80% of the area median, and must purchase a home in the service area.

Acquisition, Rehab and Resale: NHS purchases deteriorated homes, thoroughly renovates them, and then sells them to qualified first-time homebuyers.

In-fill Development: NHS purchases vacant lots in order to build new homes for sale.
